The City Hall is one of the most important works of Galician civil baroque architecture. Its façade, with colonnades and balconies resting upon beautiful modillions, is an example of balanced, serene beauty. It was built between 1738 and 1743, by one of the most outstanding masters of the time, Lucas Ferro Caaveiro.
