This route forms part of a set of tracks that Ecoturismo Montanha - Viva is
trying to recover, by putting up signposts, according to the norms adopted by
the Portuguese Camping Federation. In order to create a net of Short Routes,
some of them interconnected, in the municipality of Guimarães. Their situation
and the geographical framing depend on the historical, cultural and
ethnographic heritage and landscape that they may want to focus on and open up
to visitors in Guimarães and particularly in the Valley of S. Torcato.
S.Torcato is a little town, placed at 6 km. from Guimarães, with an important
historic and cultural heritage, where you can feel the harmony between the
Earth, the Human Beings and the River, always connected through historical
paths that we will try to recover and preserve.

Walking Distance: 8,5 Km – circular.
Duration of the route: Approximately 4 hours.
Degree of difficulty: Easy.
Slopes: Gentle.
Recommended season: All the year round.
The PR1 "S. Torcato e seus moínhos" (San Torcazo and its mills) is a short
walking route, with two-way signposts, according to the rules of the Portuguese
Camping Federation.
